Challenge

A homeowner reached out to our team after becoming concerned about elevated radon levels in their home, along with visible foundation cracks in the basement that were allowing moisture to seep inside. In additon to air quality concerns, the homeowner wanted to ensure their basement was properly protected against water intrusion for the long term,

After completeing a full inspection, we confirmed that radon gas was entering the home through the foundation and that existing cracks posed a risk for continued moisture intrusion. We also indentified an opportunity to improve the home water's management system by upgrading the sump setup to provide more reliable protection.

Solution

To address these concerns, our crew installed a custom radon mitigation system designed to safely redirect radon gas from beneath the foudnation and vent it outside the home.  This system significantly reduces indoor radon levels and improves overall air quality.

We also professionally sealed the foudnation cracks, preventing water from entering the basement and helping maintain a dry, protected space. to further enhance water management, we installed a triplesafe sump pump liner, providing added reliability and peace of mind during heavy rain events or potential pump failures.

With the radon mitigation system in place, the foudnation cracks sealed and the updraged sump pump liner installed, the homeowner now has a healthier, drier and better protected basement. The completed work not only improved indoor air quality but also strengthened the home's defense aginst future water issues.
