Just moved into an old 1930's home with crawlspace. I had an inspector who identified these issue with the crawlspace: - Vapor barrier needed on crawlspace floor - sill rot - poor venting - evaluation needed on impact of overall dampness (rusty on telepoles etc.) Any other insight on external water management would also be great. We live very close to the water and our foundation goes below the water line. We have 3 sumps, two mains and a battery backup, but the sump runs so much, I'm replacing sumps every year. The sump pit is a mess and I would like a nice enclosed system, that I hope will be more reliable than the slapped together system I have now.
