Rather than relying on a single product, the project combined crawlspace encapsulation, drainage, sump pump protection, and dehumidification to create a complete system designed to manage moisture from multiple sources.
Solution
Our crews installed several components to transform the crawlspace into a more controlled and protected environment.
A CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation system was installed to help isolate the crawlspace from the surrounding earth and moisture.
The CleanSpace liner creates a durable barrier designed to help prevent moisture from the soil from entering the crawlspace, while also providing a cleaner and more finished appearance.
To address potential water intrusion, our crews installed a WaterGuard interior drainage system. WaterGuard is designed to collect water along the perimeter of the crawlspace and direct it toward the sump pump system. A WaterGuard Port was also installed to provide access to the drainage system for maintenance and service when needed. An UltraSump sump pump system was installed to help collect and remove water from the drainage system. The sump pump provides an important part of the crawlspace's overall water management system by helping move collected water away from the home. To help control humidity within the encapsulated crawlspace, our crews also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The dehumidifier is designed to help maintain a drier environment by removing excess moisture from the air, complementing the CleanSpace encapsulation system and drainage solution.
With the project completed, the homeowner now has a comprehensive crawlspace moisture control system designed to address water intrusion, soil moisture, humidity, and drainage.
