Our Crew recently assisted a homeowner in Ottawa who had growing concerns about their basement due to moisture issues and signs of foudnation wall movement. The homeowner wanted a long term solution that would both control water and stabilize the structure.    After a full assessment, we designed and installed a comprehensive system to address all concerns. To manage groundwater, we installed a waterguard subfloor drainage system along with a waterguard port for easy acccess for future maintenaince. Collected water is safely directed to a triplesafe sump pump system, providing dependable protection during heavy rain and power outages. An Ice guard was added to the exterior discharge line to prevent freezing and ensure year round performance.   To control wall moisture, we installed a cleanspace wall system, creating a durable vapor barrier that directs any moisture into teh drainage system. Rim joist insulation was also installed to improve energy efficiency and reduce drafts in the basement.   To address foudnation wall concerns, our crew installed a carbon armor straps and armor lock anchors, stabilizing the walls and helping prevent further movement over time.   The result is a dry protected and structurally stable basement, giving the homeowner long term peace of mind and confidence in their home.
