Window Well drain and exterior waterproofing
Challenge
A homeowner contacted our team after experiencing water intrusion near a basement window well, particular during heavy rainfall. water was colelcting in the window well and seeping through the foundation wall, causing moisture issues inside the basement and raising concerns about potential long term damage.
Upon inspection, we determinded that the window well lacked proper drainage and that the exterior foundation wall required waterproofing to prevent continued water penetration. Without correction, the issue would likely worsen during the future rain events.
Solution
Our Crew installed a window well drain to allow water to properly drain away from the window well and relieve pressure against the foundation. We also waterprooofed the exterior foudnation wall, applying a protective barrier designed to prevent moisture from penetrating the wall and entering the basement.
Together, these solutions redirected water away from the foundation and eliminated the source of the leak.
The water intrusion issue was successfully resolved, leaving the basement dry and protected. The homeowner now has imrpoved drainage, enahnced protection, and peace of mind knwoing their homeis safegaurded against future water problems.
