In addition to addressing the water infiltration, the affected areas needed to be properly prepared and treated to help create a healthier, more moisture resistant basement environment.
Solution
After assessing the affected areas, our team developed a waterproofing and moisture management solution designed to help control water entering through the foundation and protect the basement walls.
Our crew completed several components as part of the project:
- Waterguard - interior drainage system installed to help collect and direct water away from the foundation.
- Waterguard Port was installed to provide access for system maintenance.
- Cleanspace wall system installed to help protect the foundation walls from moisture.
- MoldX2 treatment applied to affected areas.
- Drywall removal completed where necessary to access and properly address the affected areas.
The combination of these solutions allowed our team to address both the water management concerns and the moisture related conditions within the basement.
Once the work was completed, the homeowner had a comprehensive waterproofing system designed to help manage water intrusion and improve moisture control throughout the affected basement area.
The waterguard drainage system provides a dedicated pathway for water management, while the cleanspace wall system helps protect the foundation walls from moisture. The mold treatment and drywall removal also helped address the areas that had been affected by the previous moisture concerns.
