Our crew recently completed a radon mitigation system for a homeowner concerned about the high levels of radon in their home. After assessing the home, we designed and installed a custom radon mitigation system to safely and effectively redirect the radon gas from beneath the foundation and vent it out outside the home.

As part of the installation, we sealed the visible cracks that are in the foundation to prevent additional radon entry points and improve the overall effectiveness of the system. To address the homeowner's comfort, we also installed a radon muffler to reduce the hum noise often associated with mitigation fans.

To ensure long-term durability, a fan moisture guard was added to protect the system from condensation and moisture related to wear, helping extend the life of the fan and maintain consistent performance.

The result was a quieter, more efficient radon mitigation that lowered radon levels and improved indoor air quality. The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing their home is safer and healthier.

Radon Mitigation in Rockland, ON

We had a customer who had concerns about the radon levels in their home. Upon the initial visit with our Radon specialist, the homeowner vented about their concerns with the levels. The specialist inspected their basement and foundation to make sure there weren't any cracks and gaps through which the gas could enter the home. The homeowners wanted our Radon Mitigation System. How our system works is that it is a professionally installed pressure system under your basement floor. A fan installed to draw radon gas from the soil and vent it out safely, preventing it from entering your living space. How it works: We create an opening into the foundation floor, Slab, crawlspace, or earth, and a PVC pipe is inserted. A radon fan pulls radon gas from beneath the foundation. Venting out the gas safely away from the home. If there are any cracks and gaps through which the gas could be coming in, they would be sealed up as well. After the installation, the homeowner noticed a sharp decline in the radon levels in their home.

Attic Insulation and Air sealing in Rockland, On

A homeowner in Rockland, Ontario, wanted to lower their energy bills and improve comfort year round. Their attic had insufficient insulation and numerous air leaks, which caused significant heat loss in the winter and made it difficult to keep the home cool in the summer.

Upon inspection, we found that the attic’s existing insulation did not meet current standards and there were gaps and penetrations allowing conditioned air to escape. This was directly contributing to higher heating and cooling costs and inconsistent indoor temperatures.

To address the customer’s concerns, our team recommended a combination of air sealing and upgraded attic insulation:

  1. Polyurethane Foam Air Sealing

    • Applied polyurethane foam around penetrations, joints, and gaps to seal air leaks. This prevents heated or cooled air from escaping and improves overall energy efficiency.

  2. Attic Insulation Upgrade

    • Installed additional insulation to bring the attic up to modern energy code standards. This provides a thermal blanket effect, reducing heat loss in the winter and keeping the home cooler in the summer.

With the attic fully insulated and sealed, the homeowner can now enjoy lower energy bills, improved comfort, and better indoor air quality. The upgraded system ensures the home is more efficient year round, reducing strain on heating and cooling systems while adding long-term value.

Upon purchase of our house, we were advised that every spring when the snow melts, water comes in from basement. Significant rain falls will bring in water as well. Foundation waterproofing was done last summer and no significant crack were found then. unfortunately, water is still coming in There used to be a ''cold room'' that was not closed off properly which we believe is causing the problem. we also found some cracks/holes from inside the basement.

My home is only 3 years old. It was built by Woosfield Homes. A number of major building issues have arisen. I just recently learned from other Woodfield owners that their radon levels are above 200. Thw builder says the acceptable level is 800 and he won't do anything. This is unacceptable and Tarion Warranty is now aware we all my have problems. I bought a radon tester from Canada Radon but since this is a serious health issue I do not want to wait 3 months for results. Thanks

No prior indication from previous homeowners of water issues. Observable hairline crack outside home at this approximate location, no standing water or drainage issues observed outside.
