A small leak was discovered in our basement during a home inspection. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the foundation is cracked from the basement window to the floor with the leak occuring where the wall meets the floor. A few years ago, I had an access door added to my basement from my garage which required that a stairwell be created in the garage. Ever since it was put in, there has been a small trickle of water that has come from the stairwell into the basement. Fortunately, my sump pit is right inside the door so the water doesn't flow far. Nevertheless, I'm interested in having you take a look at it to determine what can be done to either end the water trickle or to at least control it better. As it is, there's a small stud wall that I'll likely have to replace due to the rotting of the wood from being perpetually wet.
