We have a cold cellar connected to our mechanical room that has had the vent sealed. The cellar was added on using cinder blocks and a poured floor and with no ventilation the room is musty and we would like it to become part of the mechanical room for added storage. The house is built on a slab foundation with the back wall fully below grade. The house was renovated in 2017 with new foundation waterproofing and perimeter drains installed and the grade level is dry. There is no sump pit in the home.
